“A small school that makes a big difference.” This statement about our wonderful Day School has defined my family’s experience here. The Ross family has been a member of this school community since the memorable fall of 2001. Our oldest just graduated this past spring and joined the bigger world at a public magnet school. With trepidation, Jared enrolled into a setting of 700+ students. Questions swirled: Could he handle the transition, the size, the diversity, the work? I quickly discovered the answer. Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Being in smaller classes has allowed Jared to develop a voice and an expectation that he makes valuable contributions. There was no hiding in the back of the class for him and this has carried over into his new school setting. Because of his experience at the Day School, he has continued to contribute and expect more from himself. Earlier in the fall, a check with his teachers indicated that he contributed in his classes regularly and was adjusting well. He has involved himself in sports activities and quickly developed a large and diverse group of friends. His interest in continuing his connection to Judaism is met through BHeCTY, BEIT-RJ, and as a madrich in the Religious School on Sundays. We continue to entrust the Day School to provide a valuable and highly valued education to Ryan and Marissa. The Day School is a place that nurtures and develops the talents of our very different children. Why go anywhere else?"
